The Ecopark established at Namangan State University is a unique space for studying ecology and botany.

The Eco-Garden at Namangan State University is a unique space for studying ecology and botany. The garden houses plants from different regions and provides an opportunity for students and researchers to conduct scientific and practical experiments.

The eco-garden grows 86 species of plants from Central Asia, Europe, East Asia, America, and the Mediterranean . These plants are of great importance for studying the diversity of nature, its adaptability to climate change, and its biological characteristics.

Plants planted by region:

1. Central Asia (18 plant species)
Ulmus Densa – A shade tree that is tolerant of dry climates.
Photinia Serrulate – A shrubby plant with green and reddish leaves.
Osmanthus Fragrans – A shrub known for its fragrant flowers.
2. Europe (18 plant species)
Acer Platanoides – A maple tree whose leaves turn reddish in autumn.
Syringa Vulgaris – An ornamental plant with famous lilac flowers.
Aesculus Hippocastanum – Horse chestnut tree with medicinal properties.
3. East Asia (20 plant species)
Metasequoia Glyptostroboides – Ancient conifer.
Nerium Oleander – A poisonous but very beautiful flowering shrub.
Ginkgo Biloba – An ancient tree species with medicinal properties.
4. America (20 plant species)
Liriodendron Tulipifera – An ornamental tree in the form of a natural bush.
Physocarpus Opulifolius – A shrub known for its ornamental leaves and flowers.
Picea Pungens – A spruce tree distinguished by its blue needles.
5. Mediterranean (16 plant species)
Delonix Regia – A tropical tree known for its bright red flowers.
Mespilus Germanica – A tree whose fruit has medicinal properties.
Prunus Pissardii – A type of apricot with ornamental purple-burgundy leaves.
The importance of the eco-garden
The eco-garden will not only contain ornamental trees and shrubs, but will also provide students with hands-on learning in botany, ecology, and agronomy . It is planned to conduct educational activities, scientific experiments, and independent research here .

The main goal of this park is to protect nature, maintain ecological balance, and increase students’ interest in scientific research . At the same time, the area also contributes to improving the ecological environment of the city of Namangan.
